Why We Started Repair-First
We started Impact Window Repair of Florida in 2012 after spending years watching Florida homeowners get quoted $10,000, $15,000, even $25,000 to replace impact windows that had a fogged panel, a stiff lock, or a leaking corner seal. In almost every case, the window was repairable — and the homeowner had no way to know that.
The window replacement industry has a structural incentive problem: replacement is dramatically more profitable than repair. A single window unit generates $800–$2,500 in revenue at retail. A seal repair generates $75–$200. The economics push every window company toward telling you to replace — even when repair is the right answer.
Our business model is built entirely around repair. We don't sell windows. We don't have manufacturer relationships or replacement installation crews. Our only job is to diagnose what's actually wrong with your impact windows and fix it — properly, cost-effectively, and to Florida building code standards.
